A major initiative to create awareness about Multiple System Atrophy,
a rare and terminal neurological disease.

 

Patients gradually lose their ability to function on multiple levels as their bodies atrophy. Mobility, speech, eating, and even breathing are affected as the disease progresses. Imagine being trapped within your body. Imagine watching helplessly as someone you love endures these losses. 

MSA is often difficult to diagnose and there is no cure for this debilitating disease. Awareness and support are critical to helping those afflicted.

Strong community support will help to make this awareness campaign successful. It is important to demonstrate interest and need, showing a large unified community that supports the request to turn the Empire State Building purple one day in March (MSA Awareness Month).
