MSA NJ is a non-profit organization formed to provide support for patients, families, caregivers, medical personnel, and any other affected persons or interested parties in the tri-state area impacted by Multiple System Atrophy. Additionally, our goals include providing education about this disease and related matters, raising public awareness, participating in global MSA advocacy groups and activities, and supporting research for treatment and a cure. Fundraising efforts are to support realization of these goals.

MSA NJ will remain abreast of progress in MSA treatment and research, be active participants in advocacy groups and activities, and listen to the MSA NJ community in order to respond to their needs accordingly, evolving as the current culture and resources mandate and permit. MSA NJ will do the utmost to serve as an enduring voice for those who may not be able to be their own, and as a resource for patients and caregivers to obtain much needed support. MSA NJ strives to be a trusted, respected non-profit entity that serves the MSA community first and foremost through providing support, education, advocacy, activities, and resources for both the afflicted as well as treating medical practitioners, and through raising awareness and funds to support research and services. MSA NJ will work to become a well-known entity, creating awareness about MSA, and associated with making strides in the fight against this debilitating disease.
Services include:
- hosting support group meetings;
- hosting educational conferences;
- providing resource information;
- connecting with the medical community;
- maintaining a public presence to share information & create awareness;
- participating in global MSA groups and activities;
- contributing to research;
- and hosting events and raising funds to support our mission.
MSA NJ is a registered non-profit corporation in the state of New Jersey.
MSA NJ is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions to MSA NJ are deductible under 170 of the IRS Code. Further, MSA NJ is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
MSA NJ is operated solely by volunteers, having no paid staff. The majority of organization funds are spent addressing our goals to provide education, support, awareness, advocacy, and research contributions.
